Kulani & Phoebe

We adopted Phoebe from Paw Printz Pitbull Rescue about 4 years ago. Since then, I've remained in close contact with her foster mom, Cyndi. Cyndi sometimes brings her latest foster over for a photo or video session. Today she brought Kulani, which is Hawaiian for "beautiful girl."

Kulani was dumped in a rural area. A very kind man found her and brought her home with him. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to keep her and Paw Printz stepped in. Kulani is very timid with people. Quick movements and objects held in your hand will cause her to scurry away and hide. But when you get down to her level, she is very quick to come up to you for a cuddle. That's what she did with me. She kept her distance while I was standing, but the moment I sat down on the floor, she came right up to me and sat on my lap.

She is great with other dogs. Here she is with Phoebe, vying for the title of Most Submissive Dog.

Kulani is an extremely sweet and gentle girl. She's young, only about 1 year old. She's got a lot of love in her and all she needs is a soft voice and a gentle hand to help her overcome whatever hardships she may have endured in the past. If you're able to foster or adopt her, drop us a line.
